Türkiye Itinerary June 1st to 6th, 2026. The Istanbul to Cappadocia Experience

Day 1 Monday, June 1st: Arrival Day Welcome to Turkey. Touch down in Istanbul. After clearing customs and collecting your luggage, a driver will be waiting to greet you and transfer you to our hotel. The rest of the day is yours to settle in, relax after your flight, or head out for a wander around and soak up your first taste of Turkey. Later, we’ll meet properly as a group for our welcome dinner and get excited for the days ahead. Overnight stay in Istanbul. Included meals: Welcome Dinner.

Day 2 Tuesday, June 2nd: Istanbul Icons of the Old City. Today is all about the magic of Istanbul. We’ll explore the breathtaking Blue Mosque, step inside the iconic Hagia Sophia, and wander through the mysterious underground world of the Basilica Cistern. Then it’s time to get lost in the colour and chaos of the Grand Bazaar, one of the oldest and largest covered markets in the world. A day packed with history, architecture, and culture. Day 3 Wednesday, June 3rd: Istanbul to Cappadocia Valleys and Fairytale Landscapes. After breakfast, we’ll transfer to the airport for our internal flight to Cappadocia. On arrival, we will begin exploring the surreal landscapes that make this region famous. We’ll visit Imagination Valley, known for its animal-shaped rock formations, and Pasabag Valley, home to the iconic fairy chimneys. This place feels like another planet. Overnight stay in Cappadocia. Included meals: Breakfast and dinner

Day 4 Thursday, June 4th: Cappadocia Underground Cities and Canyon Walks. We'll begin the day early with an optional hot air balloon ride (weather allowing) for one of the most memorable experiences in Cappadocia! This is an additional option for the tour, offering a chance to watch the sunrise from above. If heights arent for you, the hotel offers a stunning rooftop area where you can enjoy the balloons and sunrise at no cost! Hot Air Balloon reservations will be finalized after you book the tour, giving you time to decide. Then after, we delve deeper, literally. We'll explore one of Cappadocia's remarkable Underground Cities, where entire communities once lived beneath the surface. Following this, we'll venture to the beautiful Ihlara Valley for a scenic walk through its canyons, river views, and hidden churches. A blend of history, nature, and adventure. Overnight stay in Cappadocia. Included meals: Breakfast

Day 5 Friday, June 5th: Cappadocia to Istanbul Sunset on the Bosphorus. After breakfast, we’ll catch our internal flight back to Istanbul. All transfers and flights are included in the tour price. If we arrive on time (no delays), we’ll wander through Balat, a neighbourhood that feels like the city’s hidden heartbeat. It’s the kind of place you don’t rush, tiny corner cafés spilling onto the street, old churches and mosques quietly sitting side by side. It’s textured, layered, a little rough around the edges in the best way. We’ll just roam. No pressure, no big checklist. Stop for coffee if we feel like it, take photos of the famous colourful staircases, browse small independent shops. It’s about soaking it in rather than ticking it off. In the evening, we’ll experience a magical Sunset Bosphorus Tour, cruising between Europe and Asia as the city skyline lights up around us. The perfect way to celebrate our final night together. Overnight stay in Istanbul. Included meals: Breakfast & Dinner

Day 6 Saturday, June 6th: Departure Day. After breakfast, we’ll transfer to the airport for your flight home. You arrive solo. You leave with new friends and unforgettable memories.

International flights to/from Turkey. Optional extras (such as a Cappadocia hot air balloon flight), Tips, Travel insurance (required). Meals and drinks not listed in the itinerary. Personal expenses.

Fine print:

The itinerary may be subject to small changes due to any unforeseen circumstances that may arise. Sarah will be leading this tour. All rooms on our trips are shared, with two people per room. We’ll match you with an adventure buddy, giving you the perfect chance to make new friends! To keep things fresh, you’ll switch roommates every couple of nights and connect with someone new.

Terms and conditions:

If you are happy with the itinerary and want to go ahead. A deposit of €500 will be required to secure your booking within upon confirmation of spot. This deposit is non-refundable.

The balance will be due 8 weeks before trip start date (6th of April 2025). You can make the payments in instalments after the deposit is paid if that suits you.

With regards to a refund: Your deposit is non-refundable. The deposit is required to book all accommodation and transportation which are non-refundable or changeable.

For the balance of your payment, I maybe able to refund this up 8 weeks before the trip should you have an emergency and need to cancel. Anything closer than 8 weeks, and I cannot refund you.

I suggest you take out comprehensive travel-insurance that covers trip cancellations, that way should you have to cancel you are covered, you will get a full pay out from your insurance company. Keep an eye on the excess required.
