Day 1 Sunday,15th of Feb - Cairo. Arrival at Cairo airport and transfer to our hotel for an overnight stay after your flight to recuperate for the adventure ahead. In the evening we will go for a welcome dinner at a local restaurant where you can sample traditional Egyptian cuisine. Overnight in Cairo. Meal plan: (welcome dinner)



Day 2 Monday, 16th of Feb - Cairo. Our day in Cairo will be filled with rich history and vibrant culture. We'll begin with breakfast at our hotel then our first stop is the Giza plateau, home to the Great Pyramids of Giza. We'll admire the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the largest and oldest of the three pyramids, followed by Khafre's Pyramid and the Pyramid of Menkaure. We'll also visit the Sphinx, guarding the pyramids for centuries. In the afternoon, we'll explore the bustling Khan El Khalili bazaar, one of the oldest markets in the Middle East, offering traditional handicrafts, spices, jewellery, and souvenirs. We'll then head to El-Moez Street, showcasing Islamic architecture with ancient mosques and monuments. After a full day of exploring, we'll return to our hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 3 Tuesday, 17th of Feb - Aswan. We have an early start today, we'll be taken to Cairo Airport early in the morning to catch a flight to Aswan. Upon arrival in Aswan, we'll be picked up to commence our Nile Tour with a 30-minute hike up Jabal Abu El-Hawa, offering stunning views of the river. Following this, we'll visit the new Nubian Museum to explore Nubian culture and history. In the afternoon, we head to a sandy dune island (commonly known as Mafia/Mali Island) for sand-boarding and to enjoy the sunset views. We will then return to Aswan and enjoy a local dinner. Overnight in Aswan. Meal plan: (Breakfast & Dinner) 



Day 4 Wednesday, 18th of Feb - Abu Simbel. Following an early breakfast, we will make the journey to explore the impressive Abu Simbel temples, which are carved into the rock. Afterward, we will head to Philae Island to admire the stunning temple dedicated to Isis. we will stop for lunch before we head to our kayaking at Hessa Camp along the Nile. In the evening, we will honor Nubian culture with a traditional celebration that includes music and dancing. Overnight in Aswan.

Day 5 Thursday, 19th of Feb - Luxor. This morning, we will depart from Aswan and head to Luxor. After checking into our hotel and taking a brief rest, and then we will begin our day by exploring the west bank of Luxor, including the Valley of the Kings, where the kings of the New Kingdom were interred, and the Temple of Deir El Bahari, built by Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Overnight in Luxor.

Day 6 Friday, 20th of Feb - Luxor to Cairo. This morning offers an optional extra for those who want to do it, an early start for a truly epic reason: a sunrise Hot Air Balloon ride over the Valley of the Kings. For anyone who doesn't want to do it, you will have a relaxing morning and a lie in at the hotel. Afterwards we are finished wiith the balloon, we'll return to the hotel to get ready for our afternoon flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival, we'll be picked up at the airport and carried to our hotel. In the evening, we'll enjoy a dinner Nile cruise to celebrate our last night together, marking a perfect end to our Egyptian adventure. Meal plan: (Breakfast)



Day 7 Saturday, 21st of Feb - Departure from Cairo. Today marks the end of our tour as we say goodbye to everyone and transfer to the airport for your onward flight home.

* The tour starts and ends in Cairo to make your travel plans/flights easier, no extra flight is required by you back to Cairo*


Included: All airport transfers and 2 domestic flights (Cairo–Aswan–Cairo). Transport throughout the trip. Accommodation on a shared basis (Twin). Irish Tour Leader. Professional guides and entry fees for all listed sites. Selected meals as detailed above (Breakfasts and dinners).


NOT included: International flights to/from Egypt. Optional extras (hot‑air balloon ride), Tips, Travel insurance (required). Meals and drinks not listed in the itinerary.


Fine print:

The itinerary may be subject to small changes due to any unforeseen circumstances that may arise. Sarah will be leading this tour. All rooms on our trips are shared, with two people per room. We’ll match you with an adventure buddy, giving you the perfect chance to make new friends! To keep things fresh, you’ll switch roommates every couple of nights and connect with someone new.


Terms and conditions:

If you are happy with the itinerary and want to go ahead. A deposit of €500 will be required to secure your booking within upon confirmation of spot. This deposit is non-refundable.


The balance of €1475 will be due 10 weeks before trip start date (7th of Dec 2025). You can make the payments in instalments after the deposit is paid if that suits you.


With regards to a refund: Your deposit is non-refundable. The deposit is required to book all accommodation and transportation which are non-refundable or changeable.


For the balance of your payment, I maybe able to refund this up 10 weeks before the trip should you have an emergency and need to cancel. Anything closer than 10 weeks, and I cannot refund you.


I suggest you take out comprehensive travel-insurance that covers trip cancellations, that way should you have to cancel you are covered, you will get a full pay out from your insurance company. Keep an eye on the excess required.
